Connecting low carbon initiatives across Stroud District

Description

What: to plant more trees on empty land or to increase number of trees where ash dieback is a potential problem

How: -tree survey of area we wish to plant first; proposal & letter have gone to landowner -meetings to plan how to map further areas for tree planting, either owned by Council, or local landowners -working with Clare from Stroud Valleys Project who has trees t o plant -we've arranged to have a tree walk for our group, and to attend a tree planting workshop

Further Information: An event to celebrate Earth Day will include further tree walks, and sign up sheet for residents to get involved
