Connecting low carbon initiatives across Stroud District

Description

What: Lowering carbon emissions for SMEs and community organisations across Gloucestershire, including Stroud District. Run by Severn Wye Energy Agency and funded by the European Union Regional Development Fund, the service is free to all eligible businesses.

How: Offering free energy surveys for local businesses, and producing a report and recommendations about how to make the business more energy efficient. For businesses that choose to make changes and invest in their energy efficiency, we can cover 35% of the costs of installing energy-saving equipment.

Direct Carbon Saving: 2,000,000 kgCO2e/yr

Further Information: The project has been running since 2017, and will conclude in March 2020. Its successor, Target 2030, is due to begin in April 2020.
