Further Information: The Garden Group was set up under the broad Transition movement about 5 years ago as a practical expression of the Transition Town ethos. It has evolved over the years to become a fixture in the community scene. It's future is largely dependent on the future of the Chantry Centre whose Trustees have plans to continue the redevelopment of the community centre to be a thriving hub of enthusiasm and engagement for all the local community. Many commnuity groups already use the centre regularly as well as super productions by the DODS, various entertainment events, scouts, toddler groups. The garden is a key feature for fine weather occasions to coplement the use of the main building.
