Description

What: We aim to deliver a reduced carbon footprint for the village and improved biodiversity

How: We are aiming to increase awareness among Horsley residents of the climate and ecological emergencies so they will be receptive to taking action to reduce carbon emissions and increase biodiversity. We have conducted surveys to assess the current position and to guide measures to increase community resilience. We have established a community of those interested in growing their own food that is attached to the Horsley Orchard Project. We have a social media presence and a quarterly newsletter. We have set up stalls to publicise our efforts and to further our cause.

Direct Carbon Saving: 10 kgCO2e/yr

Further Information: We are a small group but enthusiastic about trying to combat climate change and the collapse of biodiversity
