Connecting low carbon initiatives across Stroud District

Description

What: Setting up a site for our neighbours to be able to compost our green waste and minimise the need for trips to Horsley HRC, bonfires etc. Also, many of us can't access the garden waste service as we live in Terraced housing and have to put garden waste in the residual waste.

How: Currently we are a group of around 5 active residents who have met up, discussed this, been to the Parish Council, been to Bisley Community Compost site, and set up a facebook page. We've identified a plot of land adjacent to the Brewery which is owned by the Parish Council and they've indicated that they would like to support us. Stroud Brewery are also keen to endorse the project. Currently considering next steps, including how to engage with our neighbours to demonstrate there is a need.
